Our compliance approach
iRelay is designed so that Protected Health Information can flow through private, token-authorized channels with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and audit logging. On commercial plans we enter into a Business Associate Agreement and process PHI only as your Business Associate under HIPAA.
Shared responsibility
Security is a shared responsibility. iRelay secures the relay infrastructure; you are responsible for authorizing subscriptions from your server, scoping channels correctly, and keeping app secrets safe. Never place PHI on public channels.
